Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The big draw is definitely permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade mapping application which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous additional tools and content enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
